THERAPIST & FOUNDER

Aislinn Kelly Burke
LMFT, CEDS-S
(She/Her/Hers)

This therapy thing may be new to you, or perhaps you’ve done it before and need a fresh start. So why pick me? And how the heck do you say my name? If you know much about the Gaelic language (most don’t!) it’s pronounced Ashlyn. I’m from Canada, so who knows why I was blessed with a cool Irish name… but let’s get back to why you’re reading this page. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with teenagers and adults with various struggles including depression, anxiety, self-harm and eating disorders.  I’ve moved toward specializing in eating disorders and women’s issues, smashing diet culture, developing body neutrality and self-acceptance. I love working with anyone who is discovering their own life path, that wants to stop listening to cultural pressures of who they “should be.” I infuse humour into sessions, while also making sure my clients have the skills they’re looking for to make needed changes. With over 18 years of therapy experience, I’m open to discussing just about anything you bring to the table. I welcome all diverse backgrounds, religions and am an LGBT+ ally.

So now for the education bit. I graduated in 2004 with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Brigham Young University. I worked for eight years in a residential treatment center for at-risk youth with a variety of emotional and behavioral difficulties. I then switched gears to work at an inpatient eating disorder center before launching my own private practice. I earned the distinction as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Supervisor(CEDS-S) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) in 2017.  I am an Approved Supervisor for Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (LAMFT) in the state of Utah.  I have extensive experience in supervising beginning therapists.

I love the work that I do, and the people that have shared their most private moments with me. It is a privilege to be part of someone’s journey of healing.

I believe a balanced life is key, and I am dedicated to helping you achieve that. It may be learning how to cope with trauma, abuse or grief. Perhaps you need more support in exploring life goals or identifying your purpose and aspirations. It could be that you’re ready to ditch diets for good and heal your relationship with food and your body. Often one thing we struggle with impacts other areas of our lives, so addressing each area and finding balance is critical. I have experience helping those who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, body image and self-esteem, eating disorders and food-related issues, faith transitions, and grief. I welcome all genders, orientations, ethnicities, races, and religions. I enjoy working with teens and adults.

I obtained my Master of Social Work degree at Utah Valley University in 2019. I decided to become a therapist because of the profound impact therapy has had on me and my own life.

I absolutely love being a therapist and feel honored to hear the stories and witness the growth and healing of others.

Hey there! My name is Kendall and I am most passionate about working with kids and their families. Many parents feel overwhelmed and unsure of how to help their struggling child, and I find it so rewarding to help families find effective skills and make lasting changes. I make it my priority to include parents in treatment and provide coaching and support as well as adapting therapeutic methods to be developmentally appropriate and easy to understand for kids. I like finding ways to make sessions helpful and fun and consider it an honor if I can get grumpy teens to crack a smile at my bad jokes. I have experience treating generalized anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, and trauma in children, teens, and young adults. I feel honored when trusted with this care and welcome all backgrounds, religions, and am an ally of the LGBTQ+ community.

I graduated from the University of Utah in 2018 with a Master of Social Work (go Utes!) but I am still happy to meet with BYU fans. I worked for four years at a pediatrician’s office which provided the valuable experience of consulting with doctors and child psychiatrists. I then worked for a year at the OCD and Anxiety Treatment Center where I was able to be trained in exposure therapy to help with anxiety, OCD, and trauma.

I love being a part of healing, and hearing clients and parents share their progress. This is one of the most exciting and rewarding parts of being a therapist!

Therapy can be a raw and vulnerable experience, which is why I work hard to create a safe and comfortable environment for you to begin this next chapter of discovery and healing. You shouldn’t have to go through these challenges alone and so I invite you to consider if I am the right fit for you and your needs.

I adore working with teens, first responders, and those in the Deaf Community. I strive to build trust and seek to understand the big picture of who you are and what challenges you face. My style isn’t to beat around the bush, so I will be direct and ask you the questions that need to be asked. I will hold your confidentiality to the highest degree. Together we will identify goals, overcome the obstacles you face, and empower you to face them with courage. I have experience supporting those who have struggled with anxiety, depression, grief & loss, suicidal ideation, ADHD, addiction, and more. I welcome all races, religions, identities, and challenges.

I am a Certified Social Worker and earned my Master of Social Work with an emphasis in Mental Health from the University of Utah in 2023. I have been using ASL for 5+ years.

I cherish my opportunity to be a therapist. Everyone has a unique story to share and it is a rewarding experience to be trusted with the insight into another’s life as they find healing.

Welcome! I am so happy you’ve found yourself here. You are in great company. I believe anybody can be a good therapist but I work hard to ensure that you feel comfortable enough to tell me what you need, what works for you, and what doesn’t work for you. I’m open to feedback and suggestions because I want you to get what you need out of that precious time spent in the therapy room.

I have found many passions within the therapy world. The first is working with teens! I have loved studying the different stages of childhood and adolescent development which helps me cater to their specific needs. I also love working with faith transitions, including individuals and couples, and mixed faith relationships. My background as a Marriage and Family Therapist helps me understand the acute impact each family member has throughout this process. Being a millennial woman has made me acutely aware of women’s issues and pre/postnatal care. I had the great opportunity to become Perinatal Mood Disorder trained which has helped me become more competent in working with postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and infertility, for all types of parents.

I graduated from Utah Valley University with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2024.

Overall, I have a passion for therapy no matter who is in my office. I cherish that time and understand both the scary and relieving experience of starting therapy. In the words of Taylor Swift that I so live by: “I had a feeling so peculiar that this pain wouldn’t be forevermore”.
